Free & Low-Cost Senior Tech Help in South Orange County
Good tech help for an older adult should be easy to find — even when it isn’t us. So we put together this hand-checked list of 22 free and low-cost places to get patient help across South OC: local senior centers and libraries, tuition-free college classes, national programs you can use from home, and free scam-and-fraud helplines.

A free helpline where trained specialists help you tell whether something is a scam, what to do if you or a loved one was targeted, and where to report it. You do not need to be an AARP member. Translation available.

The Clubhouse Senior Center (City of Lake Forest)
The city’s senior center offers a free activity program that includes computer classes and a computer lab, alongside wellness, exercise, and social activities.

Your branch is a quiet, free place to get hands-on help — many South OC libraries offer one-on-one tech-help appointments, public computers, Wi-Fi, and even laptop or hotspot loans. A free OC Public Libraries card also unlocks free online computer-skills courses from home. (Note: Mission Viejo and Irvine run their own city libraries, separate from the county OCPL system.)
